Medicine List Organizer

One tidy list of everything a person takes - useful at the doctor's, at the chemist, and in an emergency.

Build the list

One row per medicine. Copy the instruction across in the words you were given - don't reword it, and don't guess at anything you weren't told.

If you're not sure, ask your pharmacist to read the prescription back to you.

The list

About this tool

Most families keep this list nowhere, or in four places at once: a photo of a prescription, a note on a phone, a strip in a drawer, and somebody's memory. Then a doctor asks "what is she currently taking?" and nobody can answer properly.

This tool builds that one list. For each medicine you can record the name, the strength, the form it comes in, the instruction you were given, how much is left and when it needs refilling, plus any note of your own.

It's worth printing a copy to carry to appointments, and worth keeping one somewhere a family member could find it. It's also the fastest way to spot that something is about to run out.

How to use it

  1. Add each medicine by name - search our list or type it in.
  2. Fill in the strength and form, such as "500 mg" and "tablet".
  3. Copy across the instruction you were given for that medicine.
  4. Optionally record how many are left and when it should be refilled, so you can see what's running low.
  5. Print the list, copy it as text, or send it to a family member.

Questions people ask

What should I write in the instruction field?

Whatever your doctor or pharmacist told you, in their words - for example "one tablet twice a day after food". Don't guess: if you're not sure, ask the chemist to read the prescription back to you.

Does it warn me about interactions between medicines?

No, and deliberately so. Checking whether two medicines should be taken together is a job for your doctor or pharmacist, not for a web page. This tool records your list; it doesn't judge it.

Can I keep separate lists for two people?

Each tool keeps one list at a time in your browser. For a second person, print or copy the first list, then start over with the new one.

Is my list private?

Yes. It never leaves your browser - we don't receive it and don't store it.

Want these reminders to arrive on their own?

A schedule is only as good as the day you actually follow it. DailyDawa sends each dose as a WhatsApp message at the time you've set - no app to install - and tells you if there's no reply, so you know a dose was missed before it becomes a problem.
